Hello! My name is Maica.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and beautician with a wealth of knowledge to implement different techniques from across the globe. My interest in aesthetics began in childhood. After dabbling in a few creative outlets, I entered the beauty industry after graduating from Aveda Institute NYC in 2013. Since then, I have received certifications through D'Amelio Cosmetics & Style Academy under Russian stylist Gulnara Chekova. My primary applied makeup methodology are from studying the teachings of artists I truly respect: Wayne Goss, Hindash, Hung Vanngo, & Painted by Spencer. As of Dec 2022, I was recruited into the L'Oreal Haircare Cognitive & Sensory Science team as an expert evaluator in the haircare category. 

Being curious about different cultures became a major proponent to expand my skill set. To avoid being traditional perspectives, trends, nor cultural norms, I incorporate a variety of techniques inclusive of Russian & Asian teachings within the looks I curate for my beautiful clients. This allows me to adapt and create unique, timeless looks for our clients.

Entranced by luminosity and movement, I sought out to specialize in soft, ethereal, and romantic looks that are often reflected in my artistry. Always excited to explore many expressions, I started take on modeling opportunities to learn what it's like to be in front of the camera and gain a new perspective. Occassionally I return back to the chair to take care of my most loyal hair clients for cut & color. I hope you meet you soon and dream up your definition of beauty!
